A Special Location on a Special Island
The village of Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island is like nowhere else. Driving onto the island is like stepping back in time. There are no stoplights, high rises, chain restaurants or crowds. There are, however, some of the best fishing, diving, and beach combing spots in North America set amongst white sand beaches and impossibly blue waters.
A Beach and a Dock?
The entire gulf side of Gasparilla Island has perfect white sand beaches, which also wrap around the Northern and southern tips of the island (red lines). But none of the gulf side homes can have docks. Bay side waterfront homes (in green) can have docks, but are mostly in the mangroves with no beaches. In total, there are only 22 houses on Gasparilla Island with both a beach and a dock, and only one of those 22 is available for vacation rental. It is also the only house on Gasparilla with a boat rental option as well.
